Using Cash App does not affect your credit score in most cases: sending money to friends, receiving payments, and spending with the Cash App Card are invisible to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Two features can change that answer. Cash App Borrow is a loan, and the loan agreement reserves the right to report missed payments to the credit bureaus. And if you fund transfers with a linked credit card, your card issuer’s treatment of that transaction can push your utilization up and your score down.
Everyday Cash App Use Is Invisible to the Bureaus
Peer-to-peer transfers move money from your Cash App balance or a linked bank account. No one is lending you anything, so there is no debt to report. Credit bureaus track borrowing — revolving lines, installment loans, and similar obligations — not reimbursements between friends. You can send and receive as often as you like without building or damaging a credit history.
